Sinai Health is looking for an experienced professional to join our Fund Accounts team as a Junior Accountant.

The Fund Accounts team at Sinai Health is central to operational effectiveness, supporting various departments across the system in financial reporting, financial planning and analysis.

Reporting to the Manager, Fund Accounts this position will provide exemplary accounting support and customer service to internal and external clients consistent with best practice.

The Junior Accountant is responsible for providing a wide range of professional accounting activities as it relates to the fund accounts, requiring competent knowledge of accounting concepts, principles and practices.

The position requires independent work under broad direction and within established accounting systems to handle specialized assignments including compliance and other reporting as required by granting agencies.

The junior accountant will work as part of a team ensuring quality, accuracy and timeliness of financial information provided to various stakeholders both internal and external to the Hospital.

The Junior Accountant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Fund/Trust portfolio, including:
Responsible for maintaining electronic file folders on the shared network drive; Successful completion of a university degree or college Diploma in a related field (e.g. Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, etc.) Two or more years of experience with proven knowledge and application of general accounting principles.
Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of MS Access and Excel.
Experience working with accounting software (SAP) preferred.

strong ability to effectively analyze quantitative and qualitative data sets to identify and shape meaningful strategy / action plans.

Proven interpersonal and relationship building skills; Flexible with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, multitasking and dynamic environment.

Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history.
