Terms of Employment:
Full Time, Seasonal

Rate:
$31.05/hourly - $36.23/hourly, Overtime after 8 hours per day

Schedule: 12 hour shifts (7 days on / 7 days off / 7 nights on / 7 days off) or (8 days on / 4 days off / 8 nights on / 4 days off)

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Operate the dozer and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment
  • Understand, interpret, and follow directions from supervisors as required to work area.
  • Operate dozer controls to regulate height and angel of the dozer blade
  • Determine /anticipate and procure depth of the cut
  • Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance.
  • Operate Dozer in successive passes over construction surface to raise or lower terrain to specified grade, following markings on grade stakes or hand signals.
  • Use the Dozer to level soil, move rock or debris, and scoop soil
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the Dozer.
  • Ensure Dozer is in proper gear, and not moving too fast for working conditions
  • Demonstrate an understanding of grades
  • Be a mentor to new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the Dozer
  • Operate other heavy equipment and other construction related duties as competency allows
  • Must ensure a solid understanding of, and comply with the principles of the company's Code of Ethics
  • Must examine situations considering the principles of the Code of Ethics.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Training

  • Must have a valid Class 5 driver's license
