approx 37.5 hrs weekly ( not a guarantee of hours )

Position Summary:

  • Responsible for preparation of accounts payable invoices, ensuring appropriate approvals have been obtained in accordance with CMH policies and matching to the purchase order
  • Performs invoice entry confirming that the expenses are coded to the correct general ledger account
  • Matches payment advice with supporting documentation and files invoices
  • Process physician payments and associated month end accruals
  • Reconciles accounts payable cash disbursements; performs other reconciliations as required.
  • Assists in completion of month end and year end processes including accruals and aged payables
  • Assists in the processing of the biweekly payroll and employee expense reimbursement
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Controller of Finance.
  • The physical demands of the role may include but are not limited to prolonged sitting, standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling. This position contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in accounts payable and payroll is required.
  • Successful completion of postsecondary diploma or equivalent experience is required.
  • Extensive skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook are required.
  • Experience with Meditech financial system is an asset.
  • Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) are required.
  • Position demands the highest standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask in a fast paced and demanding environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines is essential.
  • Regular attendance is required.
