As a Team Lead for Purple Moose Cannabis you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our retail environment.

You will participate in leading a team of educators, maintaining an inviting and compliant store, and providing excellent customer service to our valued clients.


Team Leadership:

  • Create and maintain a positive work environment that implements teamwork and high morale with staff.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating a strong work ethic and a commitment to following company policies and regulations.
  • Respond and resolve staff inquires and issues, and report to store management, if necessary.
  • Work closely with store and company management to fulfill store staff, customer and corporate goals

Store Standards:

  • Maintain a clean and tidy sales floor from open to close
  • Ensure adequate staffing levels to maximize business
  • Review and update product displays to ensure the customer experience reflects available product and sales priorities
  • Ensure all store product is displayed and priced with full up to date information
  • Ensure an efficient standardized back of house layout to maximize filling efficiency, ease of restocking, ease of inventory counting and control of shrink
  • Report all fixtures and fittings that call for replacing or repairing with the minimum of delay
  • Maintain all staff and back areas are clean and tidy, including back of store garbage area
  • Ensure exterior of store, and customer entrance area are clean and presented as new everyday

Customer Service:

  • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and knowledgeable manner, providing information on cannabis products, strains, and consumption methods.
  • Handle customer inquiries, resolve concerns, and ensure a positive shopping experience.

Inventory Management:

  • Assist in inventory receiving, managing and organizing inventory to ensure product availability and freshness.
  • Monitor and track inventory levels, alerting management to reordering needs.
  • Assist with inventory audits and reporting as required.

Compliance and Security:

  • Ensure strict compliance with all local and AGCO regulations governing the sale and distribution of cannabis products.
  • Overseeing security protocols with staff, including verifying customer identification and maintaining a safe store environment.
  • Assist in the execution of compliance checks and audits as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years retail experience, preferably in a supervisor or management capacity
  • Resourceful, creative, and solutionoriented
  • Ability to work, plan, prioritize and organize
  • A leader with a proven ability to train others and retain talent
  • Proven ability to drive positive customer experiences that build loyalty and deliver measurable results
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fastpaced environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills
  • You are passionate about cannabis and are excited to bring it to market for recreational purposes
  • You are open to feedback and coaching
  • You demonstrate high levels of integrity and personal responsibility
  • You are trustworthy and customeroriented
  • Mathematically inclined and have strong cash handling abilities
  • Minimum age 19 years of age as specified by the provincial government
  • Able to lift boxes 530 lbs
  • Must be flexible with hours of work and be comfortable with ever changing duties
  • Can Sell certification required
  • Criminal Background check required
