Job Summary:


Sage Tattoo and Art Gallery, a renowned and thriving tattoo studio, is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join our team as a Studio Manager.

As the Studio Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the shop, ensuring efficient management of resources, exceptional customer service, and driving the store's success.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual with a strong background in retail management and a genuine interest in the tattoo industry.


Responsibilities:

  • Team Management:
  • Recruit, train, and supervise a team of support staff, including the Inventory Specialist, Receptionist, Marketing personnel, and Piercing Manager
  • Provide guidance, support, and constructive feedback to the support team to maintain highquality standards and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Lead daily team checkin meetings for the support team.
  • Celebrating successes and publicly recognize the contributions of team members.
  • Oversee scheduling of support staff, tattoo artists, and piercers for adequate coverage and efficient workflow.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support team members.
  • Onboard new tattoo artists and piercers according to onboarding procedures.
  • Create and maintain a strong company culture that aligns with the core values of the organization. This culture should be positive, resultsoriented, focused on growth, and designed to attract, retain, and motivate top talent.
  • Operations Management:
  • Oversee the daytoday operations of the tattoo shop, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Create and implement effective operational policies and procedures to enhance productivity and optimize workflow.
  • Manage inventory, including tattoo supplies, equipment, and retail merchandise.
  • Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to maintain compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage financial aspects, such as cash handling, invoicing, and tracking expenses.
  • Ensure that the store meets the financial targets and goals set by management.
  • Oversee the accuracy, consistency, and adherence to best practices in inventory management
  • Coordinate and ensure the alignment of the Piercing department with the overall company goals and objectives
  • Customer Experience:
  • Maintain a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for clients, ensuring exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Marketing and Business Development:
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement strategies to attract new customers and retain existing clientele.
  • Promote the shop's services through online and offline channels, including social media platforms, local events, and community partnerships.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitors, identifying opportunities for business growth and improvement.
  • Analyze sales and performance data, generate reports, and make recommendations for enhancing profitability.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in store management, preferably in a customercentric industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team effectively.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure smooth operations and team collaboration.
  • Proficiency in operations management, inventory control, and financial analysis.
  • Passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences and resolving inquiries or concerns promptly.
  • Creative and strategic thinking abilities to contribute to marketing and business development initiatives.
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies and business growth principles.
  • Ability to adapt to a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with the tattoo industry and its unique requirements is a plus.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Ottawa, ON K2B 7G1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Education:

  • Secondary School (preferred)

Experience:

  • Retail management: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
