Responsibilities:

SUMMARY:


Reporting to the Manager, Technology Design and Delivery, the Delivery Transition Coordinator is responsible for the operational readiness lifecycle that involves the stages such as scheduling the release, coordinating, and liaising between teams, and overseeing deployment of release as per the schedule.

Responsibilities also include identifying risks and issues that may affect release scope, schedule, and quality.

They will ensure all required documentation is complete and made available to the appropriate parties as well as facilitate knowledge transfer and training activities for operational teams.

Coordinating post deployment support and process reviews to ensure effectiveness of operational delivery.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collaborates with Project Managers, BTS Analysts and other stakeholders to identify and document operational readiness requirements including schedules, technical documentation, knowledge transfer and training for infrastructure deployments,

Develops and maintains release checklists that would be used at the initiation of and throughout projects.

Identifies risks and issues that affect release scope, schedule and quality.

Ensures documentation related to procedures on build and release are complete and stored appropriately.

Ensures the development of Deployment, Run Books and Implementation Plans are done to standards.

Co-ordinates production deployment activities including the execution of the deployment plans and completion of checklists.

Coordinates release activities with BTS operational and sustainment teams to ensure factors influencing production readiness are captured and implemented.

Coordinates release timing and handover to operational and sustainment teams. Plans and coordinates post release enhanced support.

Assists in communicating release details and schedules to the Business as required.

Coordinates the completion of knowledge transfer, skills transfer, or trainings as identified through the operational readiness requirements.

Performs post deployment review to support continuous improvement processes.


Performs related duties as assigned, such being items of a minor nature that do not affect the value of the job.


Qualifications:

EDUCATION
Requires completion of a diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.

EXPERIENCE
Minimum two (2) years of related experience in technical coordination and production delivery.

An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process.


Please note:
An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.


Once in the process, testing will be used to confirm this suitability and all internal applicants will be required to obtain a pass mark of 70% on each component of the testing to demonstrate a minimum level of proficiency in the position.

An applicant's overall score is comprised of the interview score and the reference score from the applicant's current supervisor. The required overall pass mark is 70%.
