The Operations Manager ensures the service environment is safe and the day-to-day requirements of operating the home(s) and/or community-based services are met.

The Operations Manager is responsible for staff management, coaching and scheduling and for creating a safe and secure home-like or inclusive environment for individuals in service, families, and staff.

The role contributes directly to the experience of the individuals supported by CBI Home Health in our Specialized Community Services in all settings.

This is a 6 Month Contract position

Your role:
Leadership and People Management

Participate, in team meetings
Responsible for hiring Team Lead and Direct Support Staff in collaboration with Clinical Team whenever possible
Provides support to workforce, leads debriefing of operational incidents, completes appropriate documentation and engages additional resources
Assists with addressing recruitment needs and on boarding of new staff.
Consults with Clinical Team for feedback and input on staff care delivery along with safety planning collaboration.
Work in collaboration with Human Resources when there are challenging performance issues (Team leads should be involved)
Accountable for health and safety compliance as per Occupational Health and Safety Act for all homes
Collaborate with Clinical Team on Progress Reports to be submitted to SMO/Director Operations

Ensures Effective Operations

Maintenance of master scheduling template for each individual or home is current at all times, including monitoring of overtime with coordination
Oversees the management of daily operation of assigned homes and provides direction to staff
Oversees and ensure that monthly and annual inspections in each home, ensuring compliance with safety standards and licensing requirements for all homes
Works with the Logistics Lead or Sr Manager of Operations to ensure the environment of potential homes meets specific operational criteria, the planning and implementation of move-in/move-out procedures
Oversees the setup of furnishings and necessary supplies in new homes to ensure budgets are adhered to.
Ensures vehicle maintenance schedule is adhered to where applicable

Documentation and Administration

Oversees to ensure reconciliation and accurate records of house petty cash and the client's personal cash
Requests funds for monthly uploads ensuring individual budgets are adhered to where applicable
Assists with monitoring client's finances (expenditures, reimbursements, may include reconciling the client's personal funds at month end). Completes audits as per policy(ensuring that the money in the home equals what is supposed to be there on a weekly basis)
Reviews incident reports for accuracy, escalates, investigates and develops action plans in collaboration with Clinical Team. Signs off on all incident reports ensuring follow up is complete and completes RL 6 when necessary.

What you will need to be successful

Required Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in health/social services field or 5 years' experience in supporting individuals and supervisory experience/ Minimum 1 year of experience in a supervisor or leadership role in a service-focused organization
Minimum 3-5 years of experience working directly with clients with intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or mental health diagnosis
Track record of successful health care operations management and/or residential home management
Be experienced in clinical program and financial management
Demonstrated person-centered focus with a commitment to providing quality care.

Preferred Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of the health care system, and experience in home and community care
French Bilingual
