Equipment Operator- Subdivision Shallow Utility

Objective
The position is responsible for operating trackhoe and backhoe equipment for new shallow underground utilities in residential subdivisions
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment in a safe and appropriate manor
- Complete daily equipment inspection forms
- Participate in daily Safety Meetings and Hazard Assessments
- Participate in daily work planning schedules
- Be aware of proper rigging equipment and procedures
- Have a sound understanding of issues relating to ground disturbance
- Ensure all excavations meet OH&S requirements, i
e:
valid locates, spoil pile location, etc.
- Work with and ground crew to ensure a safe and damage free work site
- Assist ground crew in duties, as necessary
- Maintain good housekeeping practices
- Administering company standards, policies, procedures and other regulatory requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Qualification Profile:
- Minimum 4years experience operating trackhoe and backhoe
- Strong team player with a positive attitude
- Being to work efficiently on your own
- Effective problem solver and communicator
- Must have a valid Class5 driver's license
