Powder Mixer

The Powder Mixer / Operator is responsible for mixing powder for production parts to specification. All work must be done in a safe and efficient manner and comply with all Stackpole International's Health & Safety policies, procedures and quality systems. Working knowledge with SPS, 5S and Continuous Improvement (CI) activities are required.

Your responsibilities will be to:

Responsible for the operation of mixers, screens and re-grinders Understand and have working knowledge of the Powder Metal Process. Accurately weigh materials on a digital scale in accordance to work instructions for each product Required to do basic cleaning of dust collector Required to test blends to ensure accordance to specifications Completion of Compact Scrap/Regrind Tally Sheets on a daily basis Follow all safety regulations pertaining to proper use of chemicals. Must where all required protective safety equipment Ensure that the requirements of the Quality Management System and Environmental Health & Safety Systems are met. Other duties as required.

Our requirements :

High School diploma or equivalent Post-secondary education in a related field is an asset 3-5 year experience working within a manufacturing industry (preferably automotive) is required Basic computer skills knowledge, specifically Microsoft Office programs is required Demonstrated acceptable level of safety, attendance, quality and production Basic mathematical skills required with particular emphasis on accuracy Excellent interpersonal skills. Able to work well independently or in a team environment Ability to multi-task in a fast pace environment while maintaining quality Must have a valid forklift/ lift truck license Proficient in English (both spoken and written) Work indoors. Environment can be noisy with variable temperatures (i.e. extreme heat) Lifting is required. No more than 50lbs and assistance is available if needed Work shifts may include days, afternoons, nights or continental Ability to stand and walk for long periods at a time Able to work overtime when required/requested
