The Driver coordinator is responsible for leading a fleet of drivers (both company and sub contractors). Acting as the liaison between the company, the client and the driver. You will be their first point of contact for all aspects of the driver's day to day activity as well the clients service need

This is including but not limited to, daily reporting, communication, work availability for dispatch.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Be the primary point of contact for their fleet of drivers to ensure company policies and procedures are followed
  • Work closely with the client planners to assist with drivers' availability and hours of service available
  • Review driver pay issues to help determine root causes for quick resolution
  • Accurately and in a timely manor report daily payroll documentation
  • Liaise with the maintenance to minimize out of service time for tractors and trailers
  • Provide supervision, direction, and guidance to the drivers to ensure ontime service meets or exceeds company and customer expectations
  • Assist in the development of new procedures as required and increase efficiencies within their scope of work
  • Assist other Operations Team members as required
  • Effectively communicate and assist in conflict resolution with their drivers to maintain retention levels at or above company targeted expectations

Educational Qualifications and Desired Skills

  • Minimum grade 1
  • Good organizational skills
  • 13 Years Previous Transportation Experience an asset
  • Mechanical knowledge an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective Communicator
Pay ranging from $22-30/ hr depending on experience.

Salary:
$22.00-$30.00 per hour
