Role Overview

The Business Process Manager (BPM) function is part of the Corporate Business Initiatives team whose focus is to support strategic and continuous improvement projects at Fidelity Canada

This role frequently interfaces with many cross functional and business division groups within the organization. The Business Process Manager serves as an in-house consultant for internal clients
- identifying opportunities for improvement and proposing value-adding solutions to different areas of the organization.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Business Process Management_
  • Lead projects in the Corporate Business Initiatives
  • BPM portfolio (Automation, Process Improvement, risk mitigation and other strategic projects)
  • Support Fidelity Business Process Management maturity roadmap.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to simplify or standardize inefficient processes and propose automation solutions to improve operational efficiency where applicable.
  • Support development of process documentation, procedures, technical requirements, and enduser materials for change initiatives.
  • Collaborate with technology implementation partners to propose and implement digitalization and automation solutions that align with the organization's goal of creating a digitally enabled workplace.
  • Business Process Design that provides value added solutions to business groups aligning with risk, regulatory and compliance requirements.
  • Analyze complex business issues, identify pain points, and communicate issues in a logical thought sequence to stakeholders
  • Collaboration & Communication_
  • Lead discovery work for business initiatives and facilitate problem solving workshops among crossfunctional working groups and stakeholders.
  • Contribute to collaborative, enterprise wide (endtoend) view of solution development focusing on integrated solutions that align with the Fidelity Enterprise longterm strategy.
  • Prepare effective communication and presentations for stakeholder groups and senior management.
  • Identify process risks and collaboratively, along with other stakeholders, design solutions to minimize the impact of such risks.
What We Are Looking For

  • A minimum of 3 years work experience in the roles related to Business Project Management, Business Process Management, or Business Architecture.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in the financial industry
  • Business Project Management, Business Process Management or related experience in the financial industry
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to focus on holistic understanding of an organization's core processes, with attention to details to capture current and desired state

Nice to Have:

  • Lean Six sigma certification and other related experience is valued.
  • Familiar with low/ nocode automation and digitization solutions.
  • Prior business consulting (internal or external) experience is an asset
  • Process Modelling skills
Education

  • Postsecondary education in the areas IT, Business or related field are preferred or relevant experience
  • Business Process Analysis/Management education and/or related work experience
  • Project management experience is an asset
  • BPM certifications (in place or in progress) is an asset
