Our technology team, BDO Digital, brings 20+ years of experience providing end-to-end technology and modern workplace solutions in data & AI, cloud & cyber, and business & customer-facing applications. Our team is expanding our data-driven services from coast-to-coast and beyond, to help our clients adapt, adopt, and grow.

BDO Digital's Modern Workplace practice is looking for Technical Architect/Team Lead to join our team with a focus on Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and MS Teams . You will own the following responsibilities:

Talent:

Help to shape the direction of the team aligned with core values, mission and vision; and interview and hire new talent to fit the vision. Coach, mentor, and manage team members to ensure they have the skills, experience and capacity required to provide service delivery excellence to clients. Stay current with the latest Microsoft technology developments , incorporating new technologies and tools into the development process as appropriate. Share knowledge and best practices within the team.

Growth:

Work closely with Proposals team to review RFIs/RFPs and prepare responses including the technical solution/estimations. Work closely with the practice leadership team to participate in pre-sales activities, including but not limited to preparation of SOWs, POCs, estimates and proposals, as well as authoring whitepapers/articles etc. to help build our brand.

Engagements:

Work closely with senior architects to design, review and develop robust, efficient, and maintainable solutions, ensuring adherence to practice standards and best practices. Providing architecture and design guidance and managing project teams on multiple client engagements in diverse Microsoft technologies (ex. M365, Microsoft Viva, SharePoint, MS Teams), ensuring that all milestones and deliverables are met on time and on budget. Be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of solutions, ensuring that they meet or exceed business requirements, technical specifications, and quality standards. Develop and maintain documentation of solution designs, development and deployment processes, and best practices. Work closely with project managers to provide periodic update about project execution, highlighting risks when arise, and facilitate the communication with client teams and BDO team. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including infrastructure, security, and operations, to ensure seamless integration and deployment of solutions. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical specifications. Engage directly with clients and drive the implementation / operations and successful end user experience of data solutions. Acting as a customer escalation contact as required and providing management and guidance related to the resolution of customer satisfaction concerns. Building deeper relationships with clients and assisting in expanding the engagement footprint when the opportunity presents itself.

Your experience and education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and MS Teams. Deep understanding of SharePoint Online, SharePoint administration, Graph API, Azure Service Principals, SPFx and PNP. Deep understanding of MS Teams, Teams administration and policies. Experience with performing migration activities to SharePoint Online, OneDrive and MS Teams. Including but not limited to on-premises SharePoint servers, file servers, tenant to tenant migrations. Good understanding and hands-on implementation of integration solutions with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs, Excel imports/exports and service bus. Good understanding and hands-on Microsoft Purview features (ex. Retention, Sensitivity, DLP, etc.) Good understanding of Azure services including but not limited to Azure Functions, Azure Service Bus, Azure Storage and Azure SQL. Proficiency in programming languages, such as C#, TypeScript, ReactJS and PowerShell. Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Excellent in multi-tasking and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects involving a variety of resources with defined deadlines/schedules Strong attention to the quality of work delivered (attention to detail) Able to adapt quickly to changing client requirements Excellent customer-facing, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to work with different levels of the organization
