Research Coordinator, Gait and Brain Laboratory

This position is for a full-time in-person position; 5 days (37.5 hours) per week, for a two-year contract with a high likelihood of renewal.


Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthrelated field
  • Formal training in ICH/GCP guidelines or Clinical Trials Course
  • Experience in clinical trials in industry or academic/research environments,
  • Previous experience as a Research Assistant or Coordinator in interventional clinical trials or observational studies, including knowledge of regulatory rules
  • Experience writing protocols, SOPs and CRFs for research studies
  • Knowledge of ethics standards for conducting research with humans
  • Proficient in Excel databases
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to supervise and coordinate research team members
  • Proven flexibility with a high level of initiative and selfdirection
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to patient and staff safety

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience coordinating RCTs
  • Experience with clinical trial external audits
  • Master's degree in basic or health sciences
  • Certification in effective coaching
  • Certification in exercise physiology (CSEP)
  • Certification from the Society of Research Associates (SOCRA)
  • Familiarity with Lawson Health Research Institute policies and procedures
  • Previous experience conducting neuropsychological and mobility assessments
  • Previous experience conducting research with older adults

Immunization Requirements

  • Provide documentation you have received two doses of the Covid19 vaccine and a written commitment to follow any
- future Public Health recommendations and St. Joseph's Health Care London policies and processes related to Covid
- management in the workplace.

  • Provide vaccination records or proof of immunity against measles, mumps, rubella and varicella (chicken pox)
  • Provide documentation of the Tuberculosis skin testing
