Key Responsibilities:

  • Supports the development of BTFC monitoring and evaluation framework
  • Cocreation and utilization of logic models and theories of change to guide program evaluation and strategy development
  • Coordinate BTFC communitybased research initiatives, fostering collaboration with community members and stakeholders
  • Create and maintain community records and reports, utilizing practical solutions such as processes, forms, databases, and software tools to track program outcomes and impact.
  • Design and administer surveys and other data collection instruments to gather quantitative and qualitative feedback from the BTFC community and all other stakeholders
  • Facilitate participatory evaluation designs with a focus on gathering qualitative insights and feedback, including narrative assessments on program effectiveness, relevance, and impact
  • Analyze program data to identify trends, opportunities for growth, and areas of success, and prepare comprehensive reports for internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with BTFC teams to integrate evaluation findings into program planning and decisionmaking processes
  • Stay informed about best practices and emerging trends in program evaluation, research methodologies, and data management, and make recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Providing training and support to staff and volunteers on data collection, analysis, and reporting techniques as part of capacity building efforts
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in the collection, storage, and use of program data

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field (e.g., Public Health, Social Sciences, Evaluation, Statistics, etc.) or combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in research, monitoring, and evaluation, preferably in the nonprofit sector
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation systems, including data collection tools and methodologies
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and communicate findings effectively
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, coupled with adaptability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to facilitate participatory discussions and engage stakeholders effectively
  • Knowledge of brain tumour care and support services preferred, with a commitment to advancing the wellbeing of individuals and families affected
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Proficiency in data analysis software
  • Experience with Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT or similar nonprofit CRM software preferred
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and access, with a demonstrated ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures
  • Vulnerable Sector Police Check required
  • Bilingual (English and French) is an asset
