The Manager, Business Development and Sales is an experienced business development professional who will drive success of BCAA's micro mobility offerings, including the growth and expansion of Evolve E-Bike Share.

This role will be responsible for leading new sales acquition from the ground-up, managing existing client retention, building relationships with community partners including local governments, and working with the business team to evolve the product and service offering.

You are results-oriented and have a proven track record of finding unique paths to success in sales.

Your primary responsibilities are:


Identify potential clients, their needs, and their decision makers Initiate discussions, present effective and compelling product offering propositions Negotiate and execute on new sales contracts Maintain existing client relationships to grow and sustain existing business Seek opportunities with local partners including businesses Maintain strong relationships with local government stakeholders Assisting with all activities that will help the growth and success of the business, including operations and promotion.

Provide customer insights and feedback to business team, and work collaboratively to evolve the product offering.

You will work independently in this role while being supported by the internal business owners. Sales and business development in this role will be limited to British Columbia.

Execute on business contracts- Identify potential clients and key stakeholders, divisions and decision makers through research and networking- Initiate conversations and deliver product proposals and options relevant to their organization- Support potential customers with their internal business case requirements to secure contracts- Identify client needs and supporting resources (training, tools, etc.), work with internal stakeholders to deliver requirements to client- Coordinate with internal teams (Strategic Ventures, operations, customer service) to execute on partnership and contracts- Support and grow business through existing clients through regular communication- Identify potential business membership sales opportunities for public programs, secure contracts- Act as the account manager for existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction, renewal and growth- Fleet and operational support for all customers- Develop an in-depth understanding of the mobility landscape and develop a network of strong connections in the industry

Develop opportunities with local business and government partners- Determine requirements and priorities for city tenders through conversations and relationships developed with City partners- Build relationships and develop partnership opportunities within the community that support businesses and local partner objectives- Work in collaboration with the business team to develop proposals for city tenders- Support local partnerships required to operational public opportunities (such as secure parking leases, build strategic business partnerships to amplify ridership, or negotiate memberships for local interest groups)

Customer insights and feedback- Provide continuous feedback to support product development roadmap- Represent the business as a primary point of contact for strategic partners to ensure partner support and satisfaction- Oversee reporting of the partnership performance, participating in regular business reviews with leadership and stakeholders

Develop framework for ongoing business development- Establish record keeping and documentation method of business development activities and contacts- Model, track and analyze campaigns' key performance indicators


Support partnership development for mobility and non-mobility projects- Identify potential product and service partners based on business objectives and goals- Engage and initiate discovery discussions with various partner stakeholders for a variety of different products and services in development and advance discussions to formal contracts as required- Negotiate on behalf of project teams in establishing terms that meet project objectives and goals.

- Develop expertise and networks in the mobility industry, or other such industries

Experience- Minimum 4 years: Business development, sales and marketing
