Under the guidance of a Senior Signals engineer, implement signals design for wayside devices, train control systems, and the underlying application logic
Bachelor's degree or higher in a related engineering discipline from an accredited University that is recognized by the Professional Engineers of Alberta;
Registered as an Engineer in Training (EIT) with the Professional Engineers of Alberta or P.License, or the ability to register with APEGA though inter-provincial mobility agreements;

TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with the engineering design process at different phases, and
Familiarity with Systems Engineering standards such as ISO/IEC 15288 and IEEE 1220;
The following experience would be considered an asset:
Previous experience in Systems Integration for complex Rail & Transit project is an asset;
Experience in Verification and Validation (test plan, test case, FAT, SAT, PICO) would be an asset;
Certificates or additional training in design tools (CAD, Revit, Bentley Products)
Basic knowledge of Train Signaling principles,SCADA, Communications, Systems Assurance (RAM), Safety Assurance, Vehicle and Wayside Interfaces, Traction Power, Power Supply and Distribution, Mechanical, System and Train Simulation, Tunnels, or Fire Life Safety Systems will be an asset;
Able to travel domestically to support proposals, projects and Client's needs;
Strong communication skills, presentation skills, and report writing skills;
Experience in a Consulting Engineering environment is an asset.
