Our Project Management team is looking for a Assistant Project Manager / Project Controls to join us in Ottawa.

What You Get To Do

  • Develop work breakdown structures (WBS)
  • Create a high-level master schedule that incorporates the initial CPM schedule and the design team & contractors' schedule
  • Track critical activities and changes to the critical path impacting the project
  • Track program milestones and interdependencies
  • Utilize industry accepted methodologies to analyze delays
  • Provide information on items impacting the project schedule
  • Responsible for spotting the critical path, as well as proffering alternatives to regain slippage to the schedule
  • Networks regularly promoting the business, cross-selling and building new contacts and enhancing client relationships; resolves issues promptly
  • Familiar with the local market, key industry players and upcoming projects
  • Provides regular updates to the project management team members on the progress of individual work
  • General understanding of who our clients are and the terms of our engagement
  • Be proactive; seek as much feedback as possible

What You'll Bring

  • Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience as a planner/scheduler on capital projects, including design and construction phases
  • Extensive experience with P6 and Microsoft Project
  • University Degree or equivalent to any of the following, Construction Project Management, Architecture or Structural/Civil Engineering, etc.
