Business Overview:
At Pride Bodies Ltd., we offer custom design and fabrication of utility, service, construction and other custom truck bodies.

Job Overview:

  • Work safely at all times;
  • Clean and prep surfaces by sanding, scraping, and grinding;
  • Prep body/part to ensure surfaces are prepared for painting;
  • Mask/tape and body fill where needed;
  • Assist Preppers with questions related to the job; train if necessary;
  • Assist in filling and emptying paint shop;
  • Inspect jobs for defects before paint to ensure all prep/bodywork is completed;
  • Able to wet sand and polish imperfections if needed;
  • Prepare paint mixtures to customer specifications and environmental standards;
  • Paint complete body/parts in a timely manner;
  • Maintain and clean paint shop and supplies;
  • Disassemble clean and reassemble sprayers and equipment, using solvents;
  • Ensure paint booth and associated equipment are in proper working order;
  • Work both independently and in a team environment.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Proven safety record;
  • Commitment to quality, customer focused and the desire to raise industry standards;
  • Industrial and automotive painting experience of large work truck bodies an asset;
  • Proficient in paint systems and booth maintenance procedures;
  • Working knowledge of pressure pot and HVLP gravity paint equipment;
  • Work with chemicals and paint for extended periods of time;
  • Basic math skills and understanding correct paint mixtures for base coat clear coat and single stage paints;
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools;
  • Must be able to read and write in English;
  • Physical job with heavy lifting at times (up to 50lbs);
  • High school diploma or equivalent;
Years of Industrial and/or Automotive painting;

  • Legal authorization to work in Canada is required;
  • No relocation assistance provided for this position.
