What you will be doing:

  • Deliver core curriculum as defined in the program charter.
  • Develop weekly class sessions, activities and assignments that highlight the core curriculum and related topics.
  • Integrate current best practices and industryfocused material into class discussion and provides instruction that fosters student achievement of course and program outcomes.
  • Provide both formal and informal feedback (including marking of assessments) that clearly indicates the student's progress through the material.
  • Establish a classroom environment conducive to collaborative learning.

What you bring to the position:

  • BA/BSC or equivalent in Social Services and/or Addiction Counseling
  • 3 years of Professional experience in addiction worker, with a strong knowledge of industry practices.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • A passion for teaching and inspiring students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Membership with the Canadian Addiction Counselors Certification Federation (CACCF)
  • Reliable internet connection and home office setup.
