GENERAL FUNCTION:

Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Resources:

  • Define the scope of project(s) in collaboration with team members and management
  • Create a detailed work plan, which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
  • Collaboratively determine resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project
  • Ensure projects and deliverables are on time, within budget, and maintain or exceed the required level of quality
  • Help determine the objectives and measures with management upon which the project will be evaluated at its completion

Client Relationships:

  • Liaise with clients and team members to schedule daytoday operation activities
  • Provide clients with milestone reports and budgetary estimates as required

Project Cost:

  • Cost tracking / managing subcontractor costs with internal and external platforms
  • Creating, reviewing, and processing of invoices and process claims as required
  • Development of proposals and budgetary pricing for projects or materials, according to the Authority to Sign document
  • Completions of RFPs for subcontractors, evaluating bids, negotiating price, and ensuring compliance with CSCL subcontractor qualification procedure

Leadership:

  • Provide a level of leadership to the existing PM team by means of providing PM guidance/mentorship to others where needed.
  • Structure and schedule the Project Team with the supplied staffing personnel to meet project field requirements, performance levels, and budgets
  • Make Decisions: Assess situations to determine the importance, urgency, and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely and in the best interests of the organization.
  • Organize: Set priorities, develop a work schedule, monitor progress towards goals, and track details / data / information / activities.
  • Ensure field staff are aware of all internal and external safety requirements, as they pertain to certain worksites / clients

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Post-Secondary Education
  • A minimum of 2 years of industry / commercial Project Management experience
  • Project management credentials (CAPM / PMP are assets)
  • Proficient knowledge of PMI standards and practices
  • Good presentation skills and excellent oral and written skills are also required
