We are seeking creative, dynamic, committed educational leadersUnder the direction of the Continuing Education Officer, provides instruction to Adult learners.
Knowledge of objectives set forth in the Literacy and Basic Skills Guidelines (Ministry of Labour Training and Skills Development).
Knowledge of Adult Education and Adult Literacy Programs, education environment and relevant Board policies and procedures; oral communication and listening skills required for understanding and communicating effectively with diverse communities; This knowledge would normally be obtained through completion of a Literacy Practitioner Training course from a recognized college or university; or post-secondary education and LBS instructional experience; or post-secondary education and volunteer experience in a LBS program; or Ontario Teaching Certification.
Instructors in the Adaptive Learning Program require specialized courses for teaching adults with developmental disabilities.09 per hour
