You will have the following responsibilities:

  • As a Conductor be accountable to ensure that train movements are operated in a manner that will provide safe and on-time operations consistent with the objective of providing the highest quality service to the public, respecting all rule and regulations as well as local regulations of the host railways over which the train is being operated.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position you must be a fully qualified Conductor

In addition:

  • Possess a valid driver's license, Secondary School or College graduate.
  • Be prepared to work in an enclosed confined area (locomotive), climbing, lifting, walking and working outside in inclement weather.
  • Be able to maintain required level of fitness as outlined in the Canadian Railway Medical Rules Handbook
  • Be fluent in English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • May be considered for commuter locomotive engineer training in the future
