Boniface Hospital, the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for assisting the Cardiologist with various cardiac diagnostic and interventional procedures including: coronary angiograms; rotoblation, intraaortic balloon pump insertion, use of intravascular ultrasound, and temporary pacemaker implantation.
A minimum two (2) years' recent nursing experience required.Prior experience in ICU or a minimum of three (3) years in Adult Emergency Room is Required.
Successful completion of the Critical Care Nursing Orientation Program (CCNOP) theory and lab skills will be required if no applicants have the required ICU or Adult Emergency Room experience.
Recent experience caring for acute patients in a clinical setting required.Prior experience using Mac Lab or related software preferred.
SPECIAL TRAINING:
Graduate from an approved School of Nursing required.
Scope of practice as documented in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
Regional/Facility/Unit policies, procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
Nursing care knowledge related to clinical area.
Personal Health Information Act (PHIA), Protection of Persons in Care Act, Mental Health Act, Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS), Principles of Routine Practices (Universal Precautions) and other legislated acts.
Roles and responsibilities of members of the healthcare team.Preference will be given to those applicants competent in an Indigenous language and/or knowledge in Indigenous customs, traditions and values.
Ability to prioritize care for an individual patient or group of patients.Ability to perform independently and as a member of the healthcare team.
Proficient with computers, software programs, and applications such as Windows and Word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
