Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement numerical simulations and optimization algorithms to solve complex engineering problems
  • Collaborate with machine learning experts and customers in the semiconductor industry to develop AIR
  • Seamlessly integrate with industrystandard design tools like Cadence through APIs, facilitating automated design workflows
  • Ensure designs meet stringent performance, power, and area specifications through rigorous simulations and analyses.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest developments in scientific programming, optimization techniques, and EDA tool functionalities

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree (MSc or higher) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field with a strong emphasis on numerical methods
  • 3+ years of experience in scientific programming related to hardware design, including experience with optimization and autodifferentiation techniques
  • Proficiency in interfacing with EDA tools (e.g., Cadence) through APIs
  • Solid understanding of semiconductor physics and VLSI design principles
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, and hardware description languages like Verilog/VHDL
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
