The Opportunity

Responsibilities

  • Participate actively in project proposals and budgeting
  • Prepare project setup information in Billquick (budgets, assignees, activities, etc.)
  • Prepare budget hours, activities, and deliverable schedules for awarded projects and review this information with Project Manager prior to project execution
  • Assist and coordinate activities to project team members and ensure project progress on schedule and within budget
  • Schedule and participate internal group meetings & meetings with client
  • Provide engineering, design and administrative supports
  • Submit deliverables using SharePoint or External PPM
  • Prepare change notices and project reports for management and clients
  • Verify subcontractors payments, monitor accounts payable issues, and prepare corrections and billing adjustments to Accounting Department.
  • Track and organize project information in order to ensure accurate records for internal and external audit
  • Work with HR, execute Onboarding procedures for new hired employees / contractors [e.g. assist PM to fill out new hire form, prepare hardware and software requirements for new staff, follow up with software access, arrange sitting changes, and request / follow

Qualifications

  • High level of organizational skills to handle multitask working environment
  • Strong problemsolving skills in handling ongoing project complications and challenges
  • Flexible innovative thinking in executing project tasks if applicable
  • Intermediate or advance level of MS Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), MS Project, and other Project Management Applications will be an asset (e.g. Primavera P6, SAP, SharePoint, any Project Management Database System, etc.)
  • Handon experience or knowledge of using Phone Applications, Skype, Go-ToMeetings, Communicator, MS Cloud, etc. will be asset
  • Certificate / diploma / degree in Engineering, Accounting, Project Management Program, Business Management and / or Database Management
  • Minimum one year experience in Project Management related to Engineering Projects
