Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented law student or legal assistant t to join our team.
This person will provide administrative support for legal matters such as Residential Tenancy Branch hearings and other corporate legal affairs.
This is a part-timeposition with opportunities for growth and development.Duties:
- Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases
- Assist with legal drafting, including preparing legal documents and correspondence
- Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documents are filed accurately and in a timely manner
- Proofread legal documents for accuracy and consistency
- Assist with project management tasks, such as coordinating meetings, scheduling appointments, and managing deadlines
- Write summaries of legal documents and prepare reports as needed
- Perform general administrative duties
Qualifications:
- Currently a law student at a Canadian law school or legal assistant with at least 3 years of experience in Canada
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Proficient in legal research techniques and familiar with legal terminology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Previous administrative experience in a law firm or legal setting is preferred
Job Types:
Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 4 months

$23.00 per hour
