Job Summary:


The Heavy Equipment Operator - Loader reports to a Lead Hand/Foreman to assist in the installation of electrical and underground utilities.

Majority of the work takes place in outdoor environments, and work environment will consist to 8-10 hours a day six day a week.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate Loader heavy equipment in civil construction environments
  • Operate Heavy Equipment (Excavator, Grader, Skid Steer, Backhoe, Trencher), considered asset.
  • Dig, backfill, and sand trenches with heavy equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance procedures on equipment.
  • Perform labour tasks as needed.
  • Site setup and cleanup.
  • Adapt to changing priorities.
  • Work in all weather conditions.

Requirements:

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license required.
  • Competency driving standard vehicles considered an asset.
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
  • Be able to stand, kneel, crouch, bend and walk.
  • Willing to work outdoor.
