Job Description

As a New Build Repair Tech, you will be an essential part of a shop floor engine support team, handling Repair and New Build requirements and addressing any issues that may arise. Your responsibilities will include reviewing deviating/non-conforming material, conducting independent investigations/troubleshooting, and ensuring that the necessary tooling is available to meet program requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare methods & scheme planning documents for engine modification, repair, testing, and inspection.
  • Manage deviating materials, verify deviations, and provide appropriate dispositions.
  • Participate in scrap reviews and investigations to identify component salvage opportunities.
  • Develop repairs in collaboration with Siemens Energy or subcontractors.
  • Issue repair and new build instructions and coordinate tooling requests and upgrades.
  • Support improvement projects and perform any other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • CEGEP or equivalent in a technical field related to gas turbine engine repair and overhaul.
  • Strong knowledge of Gas Turbine and Repair & Overhaul processes.
  • Organizational and technical writing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software and SAP functions for production and inspection.
  • Ability to work well in a team, strong interpersonal skills, and logical thinking.
  • Fluency in French for communication and a basic understanding of English to interpret engineering documents.
