Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient screening and oral health assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting patient medical and dentalhistory
- Take dental impressions
- Take X-rays
- Perform preventative dental proceduresincludingteeth cleaning, scaling, gum stimulation and fluoride and sealant applications
- Provide oral care instructions includingoral hygiene procedures, strategies to maintain and improve oral health
- Consult with dentists on patient dental care
- Perform orthodontic procedures under the direction of dentists
- Follow up all safety protocols and infection control guidelines
Certificationrequirement:
- Valid registrationwith the College of Dental Hygienists of Ontario
Educationrequirement:
- Completion of college dental hygiene program
Qualification Requirement:
- Proven experience of minimum2yearsas a dental hygienist
- Proficient indental hygienist techniques and procedures
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dentistry
- Proficient inAbeldent, CDR Dicom, Invisalign, Microsoft Office
- In depthknowledge of dental care services including teeth cleaning, whitening, braces, Invisalign,wisdom teeth extraction and dental implants
- Proven capability to perform duties in a fast paced working environment
- Work well with a team, individually and under pressure
- Extremely detail oriented with a strong client service focus
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
- Experienceusing iTero for scanning is a plus
- Knowledge of orthodontics is a must
- Flexibleto work at weekends
Salary: $42.00 per hour
