The Grain Operations Assistant will be responsible for carrying out duties involved in sample grading, grain receiving, and bulk loading of oat screenings and processed oat products.


Responsibilities

  • Assist daily operation of the oat elevator facility, including inbound oats delivery schedules, grading and inventory management.
  • Coordinate the loadout and shipping of grain receiving cleanout.
  • Assist with managing regular maintenance of grain handling equipment.
  • Implement, enforce, and monitor corporate safety, health and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance. Promotes safety at all times.
  • Assist with inspecting, cleaning, movement and loading of bulk rail cars and trucks.
  • Create and maintain customer loyalty by demonstrating integrity, service, market knowledge and professionalism in all dealings with farmers.

Qualifications

  • Product cleaning experience is an asset.
  • Experience with agriculture, farm equipment and a mechanical aptitude is preferred.
  • Available to work evenings and weekends.
  • Previous elevators experience an asset.
