Mott MacDonald has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Coordinator to join our growing Canadian business.

You will provide human resources (HR) support to staff across Canada, including our main business centres in Calgary, Vancouver, and Toronto.

Reporting to our Human Resources Manager, you will be responsible for supporting our day-to-day human resources operations and collaborating with our diverse team of managers and staff.

This role offers valuable opportunities to participate in a variety of human resources functions.

We rely on the Human Resources Coordinator to take responsibility for the following duties and support our overall business objectives:

  • Oversee fullcycle onboarding of new starters and transferees across Canada (Including but not limited to, preparing offer letters, initiate background check, conduct orientation, process HR paperwork, followup on training, benefits and pension administration)
  • Process transactional and operational data activities in HRIS and other database / portals
  • Ensure data and records management processes are updated, implemented consistently, and compliant with applicable legislation
  • Respond to staff and employmentrelated inquiries
  • Support performance management processes
  • Provide support for various committees and initiatives
  • Liaise with other functions such as payroll, talent acquisition and office administration
  • Support the Human Resources Manager with developing and implementing HR programs, policies, and procedures
  • Complete other duties as assigned
  • Participate in domestic business travel from time to time
You will have completed an HR program from a reputable education institution and have 1+ years human resources experience.

Additional requirements include the following:

  • A self starter with a strong work ethic, who can navigate sensitive and sometimes ambiguous tasks/responsibilities.
  • Can stay organized and adaptable amid changing priorities in a fast paced, deadline driven environment
  • Have a customerfocused and positive attitude; you are confident, friendly, and approachable.
  • Have a proven diplomatic, empathetic, and mature approach, as well as a strong understanding of sensitive/confidential HR issues
  • Able to work both collaboratively and independently
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • High proficiency with MS Office Suite and technology tools
  • Desire for continuous learning and professional development
