The Opportunity:


Reporting to the Clinical Manager of Community Mental Health and Addictions and working in collaboration with the care teams across Tiers 3 and 4, the Board Certified Behavioural Analyst initiates and coordinates the initial behavioural assessment of referred clients, conducts functional behavioural assessment/analyses, develops behavioural treatment plans, provides education on behavioural interventions to caregivers and other health professionals and provides consultations within the MHA program.

The Board Certified Behavioural Analyst assigns, supervises and coordinates components of the behavioural treatment plans to those staff who support outreach services and provides direction and coaching to caregivers (staff and family members) in a variety of settings.

The Board Certified Behaviour Analyst will work with persons with complex clinical presentations (e.g. a dual diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disability and significant psychiatric / behavioural problem) in a variety of settings. Travel to various sites may be required.

Hours of Work:

0830 to 1630 and some as evenings required. 7.5-hour shifts, Monday to Friday.

Your Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree (e.g., master's or doctoral) in a health related discipline or one of the following; behavior analysis or education.
  • Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA) designation required.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents required.
  • 23 years of experience working in a mental health and addictions setting preferred.
  • 35 years of experience in conducting behavioural assessments and developing interventions preferred.
  • Clinical experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum preferred.
  • Interest working on an interdisciplinary team using a biopsychosocial model.
  • Commitment to family centred and trauma informed care.
  • Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution, and administrative skills.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Team oriented, selfmotivated, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Competencies in other languages an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
