London Cares programming continues to grow and expand to meet the needs of the community we serve. We are seeking an Outreach Coordinator (Relief) to join our team in a full-time permanent capacity.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Manager of Outreach: the responsibilities of the Outreach Coordinator (Relief) will include:
  • The supervision of relief staff and supervision and scheduling of students to ensure effective service delivery and learning outcomes.
  • The operation and maintenance of Microsoft Teams communication platform utilized to communicate between collaborating outreach agencies.
  • Monthly Outreach vehicle safety inspections and tracking.
  • Work together with Street Outreach and Encampment coordinators to fill schedule needs, including posting and finding coverage to maintain appropriate Outreach service operation.
  • Inspecting and maintaining all Outreach First Aid kits in proper working order.
  • In collaboration with Outreach coordinators, complete inventory of Outreach program supplies for the affective daily operations of Outreach Services including harm reduction equipment, water, naloxone, etc.
  • Communication, tracking and implementation of outreach/encampment visits with the H.O.M.E program.
  • The completion of the weekly weekend review.
  • The tracking and reporting of all Naloxone sheets and data.
  • Review and approval of relief staff timesheets
  • Supporting front line staff in the absence of Street Outreach or CIR coordinators
  • Perform other related activities, as necessary or as assigned individually or in collaboration with other coordinators and staff.

Qualifications:

  • Postsecondary education in social service or related field
  • 3+ years of experience working individuals experiencing homelessness.
  • Previous experience within a nonprofit, communitybased organization preferably with a focus on housingfirst/homelessness
  • Satisfactory police vulnerable sector record check.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of mental health, addictions and trauma informedbest practices, crisis and conflict management.
  • Previous experience supervising employees including knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Capable of safely deescalating unpredictable behaviour.
  • Skillful inthemoment problem solving with a calm disposition.
  • Strong knowledge of community resources in London to provide individuals with system navigation.
  • Understanding of Housing First principles
  • Valid G driver's license
  • First Aid/CPR Level C

From $52,406.00 per year
