We are currently seeking a
Marine Technician to join our growing team.

We are a family owned/operated (since 1959), full-service marina near Gananoque, Ontario (In the beautiful 1000 Islands).
This is a permanent full-time position to start April 1st and offers competitive compensation based upon experience.

Requirements:

This position requires mechanical experience, positive attitude, strong work ethic, with problem solving abilities.

Ability to diagnose mechanical problems and successfully repair the equipment
Travel to sites for service calls when required, maintain travel expense accounts
Responsible for maintaining a clean environment at the dealership
Assist in maintaining the marinas vehicles
- trucks, trailers, forklifts.

Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing about repairs.
Maintain time records on work orders and equipment maintenance records
Must have own mechanic tools & tool box.
Ability to use a computer for electrical diagnostic software systems
Ability to operate fork lift, tractor and other machinery
Ability to trailer boats and water craft safely
Willing to work outdoors and around water
Willing to work weekends during the summer
Must be reliable, a team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Be willing and open to continuous learning and training.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

Marine Technician: 2 years (preferred)

Marine Repair: 2 years (preferred)

High School Diploma

AEC/DEP or skilled trades Certificate (preferred)

Valid G or higher Driver's License, clean drivers abstract and own vehicle

Minimum 2 years work experience in the operation, repair and maintenance of small equipment, both gasoline type engines; diesel equipment & Hydraulic systems are an asset.

Ability to commute/relocate.

Mercury/Mercruiser, Volvo, or any other manufacture Certification
Marine/Automotive Experience an asset
