Description: Prairie Mountain Health (PMH) is currently recruiting Anesthesiologists to the city of Brandon. The Regional Health Centre has medical and surgical beds, adult intensive care beds, obstetrical beds, operating rooms, and diagnostic services including Lab, radiology, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine. Successful applicants will provide anesthetic care throughout the surgical and obstetric programs, including supervision and teaching of students and residents. The successful applicants will also be required to participate in an on-call rotation.
Successful Applicants will be team players, able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff, and management, and function well in a high-volume environment with a commitment to the provision of high-quality patient and family-centered care.
With a population of over 51,000, Brandon is a thriving rural community with lifestyle opportunities for all ages. Located a short drive west from Winnipeg, Brandon is large enough to supply all needs on a daily basis and small enough to avoid high costs of living and long commutes.
Brandon University and Assiniboine Community College provide education options. Cottage country and camping recreation opportunities are abundant. Brandon's enthusiastic volunteer base hosts many events.
Qualifications:
- Must hold Fellowship from the Royal College of Canada, or be Royal College eligible.
- Must hold or be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.
- Must provide proof of acceptable malpractice coverage prior to starting practice.
- Contingent on a 2-year Return of service agreement, PMH will provide $15,000 for relocation costs.
- Responsible for arranging own benefits, if desired.
Compensation: Compensation is derived from fee-for-service billing as per the current Manitoba physician's manual negotiated in the Master Agreement between the Minister of Health and Doctors Manitoba.
