About The Opportunity
The role of the Data Architect is to enable business and IT leaders to make investment decisions that balance and prioritize current operational demands, disruptions, and opportunities with the longer-term strategic vision of the organization. They focus on building relationships with business and IT stakeholders, communicating the value of Data Architecture and the services it offers, and shaping and guiding the delivery of Data Architecture services. Furthermore, the data architect provides technology guidance, road maps, principles, standards, and best practices.
About You
The successful candidate will have the following:
- 7 or more years of IT and business/industry work experience including architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management, and infrastructure planning and operations
- MUST come from a large Manufacturing, Construction or CPG industry
- Experience working with Azure Data, AWS, SAP BW, SAP Hana, Mongo, Python and have worked with large enterprise apps
- Experience working with different frameworks (Hadoop, Spark, Hive, Storm, Flank)
- Leadership experience in managing multiple, large, cross-functional teams or projects, and influencing senior level management and key stakeholders
- Requires exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments
- Knowledge of all components of holistic enterprise architecture, business re-engineering principles and processes, and basic knowledge of financial models and budgeting.
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
- Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language
- This position is full time, located in the GTA, would potentially be open to people from other provinces
- $110-$125k/year DOE
- Excellent benefits, including employee stock options
- Hybrid working environment, 3 days in the office, 2 days at home
