Job Title: Data Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Architect to provide business, data, application, and technology consulting and leadership for our Enterprise IT portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing data models, meta-data models, process flows, and data services that support our global information technology projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the Enterprise baseline data model, defining data entities relevant to the entire enterprise.
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure, Business, and Application Architects to determine data partitioning strategies for maximum performance and scalability.
  • Work closely with DBAs to ensure data models and components are derived from and consistent with the business object model, application architecture, and underlying technical architecture.
  • Provide technical guidance and leadership to other architects and database administrators.
  • Define data management principles and policies, setting the direction for how data is managed across the enterprise.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, and 8+ years of experience in Data/Database technologies, IT consulting/support, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting.
  • OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field, and 8+ years of experience in Data/Database technologies, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting.
  • Advanced expertise in stored procedure programming, data modeling, replication, performance monitoring, and optimization.
  • Experience with relational database platforms, meta-data repository technologies, and data warehousing, ETL, and distributed environments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
