We are presently accepting resumes for a
Summer
Student to provide administrative support to the Quality and Innovations department. This is a full-time position starting as soon as April 22, 2024 for approximately 4-5 months. This position works up to 37.5 hours biweekly with an hourly rate of pay of $21.11. Please note that this position is contingent upon funding approval through the Federal Government Canada Summer Jobs program.

Minimum requirements of this position include:

  • Completion of secondary school and enrolled in post-secondary education; Office, Administration or other closely related fields of education is an asset
  • Some office experience is an asset
  • Good organizational skills, flexibility, pleasant manner and good communication skills. Working knowledge of computer programs, including Excel and Word
  • A valid class G driver's license and reliable transportation is an asset

Overview of Duties (including, but not limited to):

  • Filing hard copy and electronic documents to records for people supported.
  • Maintaining onsite records storage by coordinating the retrieval, culling and destruction of records
  • Assisting staff and people supported to access and share records ensuring confidentiality and protection of privacy is maintained
  • Providing administrative assistance to the Quality and Innovation team including Central Records, as required
  • Maintaining a clean and safe reception area
  • Ensuring entry/exit doors are unlocked and locked at the start and end of each business day
  • Performing daily fire and health and safety checks for assigned work location
  • Providing reception coverage i

e:
greeting guests, ensuring sign in and guests are provided with visitor identification

  • Distributing internal and external mail
  • Answering and directing incoming calls to the appropriate departments
  • Scheduling meeting rooms within the agency
  • Opening and closing of the building
  • Performing fire checks
  • Assisting with research related to Empower Simcoe's program areas and J2B readiness. Assisting with research related to Outside paid Resources in Simcoe County
