Responsibilities:

  • Leads implementation of technology projects on behalf of the Registrar's Office, and works collaboratively with the OEB's IT department and external consultants as required
  • Helps develop and analyze business requirements leading to the design, development, and implementation of new technology in the Registrar's Office, and the adjudicative process more broadly
  • Works collaboratively with staff involved in the adjudicative process to establish business requirements and business processes
  • Helps translate business requirements and business processes into functional and technical specifications and related business design documents
  • Monitors and reports on project status and escalates projects at risk to management
  • Maintains project documentation, such as business cases, project plans, status reports, change requests, and approvals
  • Gains acceptance of proposed changes from diverse stakeholders
  • Rolls out technology changes to staff, including providing training
  • Communicates regularly and maintains proactive relationships with the OEB's IT department and adjudicative technology users, both internal and external to the OEB

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree preferred in, but not limited to, Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline
  • Graduate degree is an asset
  • PMI, PMP, IIBA, ITIL certification an asset
  • 5+ years' experience working in Information Technology project management; 8+ years preferred
  • Experience working in a regulated industry and/or at a tribunal is an asset
  • Experience in the OEB's adjudicative process and energy regulation in Ontario is an asset
  • Previous experience in managing and leading technology projects of varying complexity and sensitivity
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that cater to all levels in the organization and externally
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills to evaluate information, identify and analyze issues, and develop recommendations
  • Adaptability to work effectively, and produce highquality work, in a variety of situations and with various individuals or groups
  • Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, SharePoint)
  • Experience using data analysis tools (Power BI, Power Apps, MS SQL, Oracle BI, Tableau, Python)
