TWD is currently seeking an Intermediate Instrumentation Engineer to work out of our company office in Sarnia, ON.The Intermediate Instrumentation & Controls Engineer plays a key role in the technical execution of various consulting engineering projects, specializing in electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation engineering and design.
Joining dynamic project teams, this position offers involvement in a wide range of tasks across different industries serviced by TWD, such as Chemical, Refining, Food & Beverage, and Pharmaceuticals.
Collaborate with a team of engineers and professionals on diverse projects, from performance investigations to installations of new equipment, addressing projects of varying scales and costs.
Perform primarily in the Instrument & Controls discipline while also supporting other areas like estimating and project management.Work closely with diverse project teams to define project scope, objectives, and user requirements.
Conduct thorough background research and develop technical tabulations to guide instrument and control system selections.
Create instrumentation installation drawings, data sheets, and specifications.
Prepare electrical specifications, drawings, and construction work packages.
Requirements include a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, 7-10 years of relevant experience, familiarity with different project phases, and a Class 5 Motor Vehicle Operator's License for travel.
Physical Effort:
Role involves sitting and standing for extended periods, utilizing computer & peripherals, driving on public and private roadways, and working outdoors.
Travel:
Some travel may be necessary for engineering field reviews.
