While most of our team members are concentrated in southern Ontario, we are not limited by geography, nor do we buy into the world of daily commuting.

Our team operates primarily from virtual, home-based offices to reduce the environmental and social effects of commuting and to help extend our geographic presence across the marketplace.

We stay connected through regular meetings in one of our local offices and the use of a wide array of technology.


Primary Responsibilities:


Responsibilities will include developing GIS data from various formats such as sketch, drawing, text file or other non-GIS format, field data collection, data queried from relational database, and data downloaded from external website or web service; creation and management of Geospatial databases; using ESRI ArcGIS Desktop Suite software and geographic analysis to process, format, analyze, and manage data; providing support for cartographic design and high-quality map production projects, such as creating and using maps; editing, updating and compiling spatial data; analyzing spatial data and mapped information.


Qualifications

  • 35 years professional experience (ecological, geotechnical, or hydrogeological GIS support, a plus)
  • S. in Geography, or GIS related field, or Accredited College Diploma with an emphasis in GIS
  • Experience working in ESRI ArcGIS.
  • Professional remote sensing experience, a plus
  • Excellent editing skills in GIS
  • Ability to perform quality checks on data.
  • Familiarity with scripting and programming, a plus
