As part of the Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls (EI&C) team you will work collaboratively with a cross-functional engineering team. In this 16 month internship, you will participate in a wide range

of cross-functional design review meetings and help with developing the control panel

design, performing calculations related to instrumentation selection and with developing

process control documents for cutting-edge water and wastewater treatment systems.

Nature of work:
In this role, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Collaborate in project design review meetings.
  • Help create single line diagrams, load lists and control panel schematic drawings.
  • Perform required calculations to select the appropriate instrumentation for water
treatment facilities and prepare supporting documentation (instrument lists,

termination drawings, instrument datasheets, etc.).

  • Develop controls documents for water and wastewater treatment systems.
  • Contribute to the development of company standards and templates.
  • Develop team productivity tools.
  • Support with project issue resolution related to design, startup and performance.

Minimum requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor of Science or Engineering degree in Environmental
Engineering, Computer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering,

Mechatronics Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or other related technical discipline.

and exposure in the following areas:

  • Understanding of hydraulics and fundamentals of fluid mechanics.
  • Understanding of basic water chemistry and/or treatment processes.
  • Understanding of process flow diagrams (PFD), piping & instrumentation diagrams
(P&ID), process controls, and electrical design concepts.

  • Water treatment experience would be an asset.
