Within this role, you will be 1 of 3 Business Service Managers, focusing on all aspects of UK Life's IT service, by ensuring that services offered are fully monitored and operating correctly.
Responding quickly to issues as they arise to enable a seamless service for our customers.Having a Technology background is key for this role, with knowledge across all facets of the lifecycle particularly, change delivery, service operations and continual service improvement.
Whilst the role has no people management responsibilities, you will be working with a wide range of senior stakeholders, so somebody with great communication skills, and an ability to work with people across the organisation would be a great fit.
A bit about the job:
You will own the E2E service, operational service performance and external stakeholder management across a set of IT services within UK Life and manage the communication and interactions with all related stakeholders.
Skills and experience we're looking for:
- Proven experience of incident / problem management, working in partnership with the IT Business Partners, MIT Service Delivery Team, and platform teams to provide seamless and consistent support to customers, including services provided by 3rd parties.
- Sound and demonstrable knowledge of service fundamentals and clear understanding of the risk framework as well as a general understanding of key technologies, including servers, desktops, networks, and telephony related services.
- Excellent stakeholder management including senior managers, and ability to work well with others at all levels and clearly translate between the technology and business teams.
- Have ITIL certification.
