Scientist, Commercial Development Product

The Scientists are responsible for:

Client Interaction/Impact

  • Client communications as warranted, beginning involvement with collaborative projects.

Scientific Deliverables

  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more analytical chemistry platforms and product matrices.
  • Leads development of new methodology, service, or technology in multiple assigned projects
  • Works closely with other scientists to ensure the company leverages and grows its resident knowledge.
  • Provide leadership and liaise with appropriate departments for implementation of new and modified methods into Production
  • Provide leadership, as assigned, for Department accountabilities.

Supervision and Direction

  • Capable of working independently and within a team with limited supervision to meet deliverables.
  • Daytoday supervision of analyst, technician, and other resources supporting CPD objectives
  • Train CPD and/or Production staff to implement new/modified methods as necessary.
  • Working knowledge of common standards in the field such as ISO17025, ICH guidelines for validation
  • Has the Authorization to stop work, to file deviations and nonconformances in compliance with current Quality policies, and to submit reports to clients

General

  • The employee shall implement the Laboratory Quality Policy and perform their duties in accordance to existing project specific requirements, current Test Methods, study plans and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
  • Compliance to Health & Safety policies and procedures and wear required Personal Protective equipment at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience

  • Ph.
D. in Chemistry or related field, preferred

  • M.Sc and significant related experience
  • Several years' experience in a similar role
  • Must be able to work cooperatively in a team environment
  • Effective communication skills relevant to the position
  • Analytical, detailoriented, accurate
