We are currently looking for experienced Claims Registration (CR) Clerks to work as critical team members in the Claims Services Department.
The Claims Registration Clerk position plays a key role in representing WorkplaceNL, as they are the first point of contact for an injured worker/employer/health care provider with WorkplaceNL.
The CR Clerk will respond to inquiries to assist injured workers and employers with the completion of injury reporting forms and other questions concerning all WorkplaceNL processes, until such time that the claim is referred for a decision.
Some key responsibilities of the Claims Registration Clerk position include:- Advises workers and employers on processes required to file a claim with WorkplaceNL when an injury occurs and educates the injured worker and employer on the completion of the appropriate forms.
- They will enter the information into the claim data set on the CR System and request missing injury reports and information from injured workers, employers and health care providers. Clarifies information either through system search or telephone contact, wherever possible, but will also use fax, mail and e-mail as appropriate.
- Exercises discretion and decision-making abilities in determining whether or not a recurrence of a claim should be registered as a recurrence or reinstatement.
