Job Title
Manager, Fixed Income Operations

People Manager of a team of six responsible for REPO Margin across TriParty and bilateral processes.

Responsibilities include - but are not limited to:

  • Covering daily collateral processes, controls and reconciliations as called-upon
  • Actively participate in Industry and Regulatory initiatives and developments
  • Assist team members in supporting an performing adhoc requests as required
  • Partner with team members to identify operational inefficiencies and suggest and implement process improvements
  • Partner with team members in order to ensure that all key process and control documentation remains accurate and up to date.

People Management Skills:

  • Lead and develop high performing team members, leveraging individual capabilities and strengths.
  • Ensure that all direct reports receive at least one midyear and yearend formal performance appraisal each year, as well as continuous performance feedback during the course of the year.
  • Accept and successfully execute change while supporting employees through proactive communication, issue resolution and effective decisionmaking
  • Ensure that staff are fully aware of their mandates, receive proper training and execute their duties in accordance with Standing Orders and Unit Financial Controls.

Must Haves:

  • Undergraduate degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
  • Familiarity with ISDA, GMRA, CSA and GMSLA documentation
  • Practical experience in the area of collateral management
  • Ability to effectively communicate across an organization, including: Counterparties, Portfolio Managers, Risk Management and Legal Departments
  • Must have experience in managing processes, and prioritizing multiple tasks within a high paced, high pressure environment, and possess an acute attention to detail
  • Prior experience implementing relevant industry initiatives and developments to ensure the team remains on the cutting edge of legal requirements and best practices
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to think through problems and assess a variety of factors and recommend a solution
  • Understanding of project life cycle management
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to quickly develop a rapport with internal and external business partners in order to facilitate timely completion of tasks.
  • Must be a team player who enjoys a challenging and performance driven culture
  • Strong technical and analytical skills, including high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Must have strong time management and organization skills
  • Can readily adapt to a rapidly changing investment business and technology environments
  • Selfmotivated, flexible, adaptable

Job Summary


The Collateral management operations group is accountable for processing all daily margin calls across various margin agreements, including Bilateral repos, OTC/Listed/Cleared Derivatives and Securities Borrow/Lending.


The Manager, REPO Collateral will be expected to provide quality support for respective daily margining processes and controls as well as assist with ongoing and ad-hoc initiatives pertaining to collateral management.

This includes but is not limited to providing coverage for various daily margining processes and assisting with the operational implementation of business led initiatives, system enhancements and regulatory changes.
