The Faculty of Nursing provides nursing education in Saskatchewan for undergraduates and graduates students including Nurse, Nurse Practitioners through face-to-face and distributive learning opportunities.

This position is responsible for providing general administrative office support in the Faculty of Nursing.

Position Requirements

  • Grade 12 supplemented by the successful completion of a recognized business course plus a minimum of three years' experience in an administrative position with duties directly related to those specified. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Working knowledge of the University of Regina's academic policies, procedures and processes including an understanding of graduate program structures.
  • Familiar with nursing academic programs and university policies.
  • Understanding of library resource access and a demonstrated ability to research relevant topics.
  • Excellent organizational skills including a proven ability to work effectively with mínimal supervision, prioritize work and accomplish tasks correctly and ontime.
  • Exceptional written and oral communications skills in order to effectively communicate with a diverse group of faculty, staff, students and the community.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of appropriate methods to handle confidential material.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and an ability to develop and maintain effective collegial working relationships.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a variety of complex database and information systems including Banner, Caspur reports, DCU scheduling, GroupWise, Fast, etc.
  • Experience working within budgets.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Work outside regular hours and some travel will be required on occasion (although infrequently).
