Job Profile: Patient Care Coordinator

Reports to: Patient Care Manager

Hours: 1.0FTE, 40 hours per week, Temporary Full-Time Contract.

10:30am-7:00pm Monday-Friday with some Saturday and Sunday availability as needed on a rotational basis. STAT Availability may be required in the future if required for the needs of the business.

Position Summary

This is a one-year contract position.

You will be an integral part of our journeys. As the first point of contact, you will ensure that we can continue to provide reliable, accurate and compassionate services to our patients, referring physicians and our employees.

You will be working as part of a team that prides itself on providing efficient, informative, and compassionate appointments and service. You will attend to inbound patient calls to book Diagnostic Imaging Appointments for all of Insight Medical Imaging Clinics. You will work a rotational schedule which consists of 40 hours/week including evenings, weekends and Stat holidays as required.

Major Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Liaison with the Medical Receptionist(s), Patient Care Manager, Clinic Supervisors and Site Leads, and Coordinators as required to ensure timely patient care. Provide valuable feedback in the Development and implementation of protocols as directed by the Patient Care Manager and other administrative staff within the Organization. Check incoming Faxes and contact Physicians and Patients for medical Imaging appointments. Call out to patients as directed by the Patient Care Manager to rebook, confirm, or fill appointments as required. Attend team meetings and information sessions in the Department and within the organization as required. Provide professional, courteous, and timely patient care to all patients and physicians. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High School Diploma-Required. Medical Assistant Diploma or Medical Terminology Certificate with a minimum of 1-year experience in related field. Equivalencies will be considered. High Volume Contact Center Experience is required. Knowledge of customized computer software is required. Excellent verbal communication skills. An at-home internet connection
