As part of our continued growth, we are looking for 2 Class 1 Tractor Drivers who will be responsible for picking up and delivering freight/loads in a timely and safe and secure manner: One on a dedicated daily highway run, and one for local city pick up & deliveries.

This role reports to the Operations Manager.

The incumbent takes charge of the entire loading/picking/delivering/completing paperwork process to ensure all orders are complete and meet appointment times.


Responsibilities:

  • Loading trailer in a safe and secure manner
  • Maintains process management, and paperwork
  • Get customer signature on a tablet app at time of pickup and delivery
  • Ensures compliance with all appropriate policies, best practices, and safety rules
  • Willing to work occasional extended hours as required and able to handle up to 50pound boxes
  • Able to pallet jack freight for pick up and delivery as required
  • Use ELD
  • Offload and load cargo by forklift, pallet jack or hand
  • Verify count and condition of goods offloaded/loaded
  • Accurately label freight for correct destination
  • Consistently meet parameters set out for KPI/Safety bonus program
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications & Key Competencies:

  • Class 1 Drivers Licence
  • Forklift certification an asset
  • Experience in a similar role for 2 years desirable
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Good analytical and mathematical skills
  • Strong organizational skills; attention to detail
  • Ability to meet urgent deadlines
  • Excellent problemsolving skills: ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently

Hours and Location:

  • Monday-Friday & Monday Friday
  • Terminal Location: Edmonton, AB (West End)

Remuneration:

$25-28 per hour based on experience
