Summary of Responsibilities
Reporting to the Manager of Group Life & Disability, the incumbent responsibilities are as follows;

  • Manages disability claims general inbox
  • All received mail and faxes are barcoded, followup date is entered, this will prompt Case Manager of mail/fax received. Mail /fax is delivered to imaging.
(Note:

delivery done three times a day mininum)

  • Responsible for ensuring Maintenance (permanent) files are updated according to our procedures. This entails requesting authorization and/or medical information from claimant and following up until same is received.
  • Follow up on requests sent by Case Manager (medical, CPP, extension forms)
  • Updating system information in TIDE as required
  • Any other duties as assigned
The incumbent will support the department overall through promotion of team work. Maintain good working relationships with all members in the department and other areas.

COMPETENCIES:

  • High school diploma and 2 to 3 years of related experience
  • Good French and English language skills, both oral and written due to frequent interactions with English and French speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada
  • Data entry skills
  • Thrives in a team environment
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Ability to work with multiple time sensitive deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize

Relevant du directeur de l'assurance collective vie et invalidité, les responsabilités du titulaire sont les suivantes ;

  • Gère la boîte de réception générale des demandes d'invalidité
  • Tous les courriers et fax reçus sont munis d'un codebarres, la date de suivi est saisie, cela avertira le gestionnaire de cas du courrier/fax reçu. Le courrier/fax est livré à l'imagerie.
(Attention :

livraison effectuée trois fois par jour minimum)

  • Responsable de s'assurer que les dossiers permanents sont mis à jour selon nos procédures. Cela implique de demander une autorisation et/ou des informations médicales au demandeur et de faire un suivi jusqu'à ce qu'elles soient reçues.
  • Suivi des demandes envoyées par le gestionnaire de cas (médical, CPP, formulaires d'extension)
  • Mise à jour des informations système dans TIDE selon les besoins
  • Toute autre tâche assignée
Le titulaire soutiendra le département dans son ensemble en favorisant le travail d'équipe. Maintenir de bonnes relations de travail avec tous les membres du département et d'autres domaines.

COMPÉTENCES:

  • Diplôme d'études secondaires et 2 à 3 ans d'expérience connexe
  • Bonnes aptitudes linguistiques en français et en anglais, tant à l'oral qu'à l'écrit en raison des interactions fréquentes avec des collègues ou partenaires internes anglophones et francophones à travers le Canada
  • Compétences en saisie de données
  • S'épanouit dans un environnement d'équipe
  • Solides compétences en service à la clientèle
  • Capacité à travailler avec plusieurs échéances sensibles au facteur temps
